Once upon a time I was asked to write for a new music Website called Close-Up Music.com which was a companion site to Close-up Film.com.  I contributed three pieces (a group obituary, a piece on Kylie Minogue's return to her tour and a review of the DVD release of 'Liza with a Z') which sat happily on the new, though sparse site.  Unfortunately, the content wasn't forthcoming enough to sustain the site and it was taken down 'for maintenance', so I was told.  However, it didn't return.  In the meantime I'd written a piece celebrating Dolly Parton's first concerts in the UK for eons and conducted an interview with the wonderous Camille Davila.

As the Dolly and Camille pieces didn't ever get to see a nice, nestled slot on Close-Up Music.com before it's demise, their appearance on this very site is their shy, but excited debut.

I decided, as they don't exist in any real way in the Cybersphere any longer, that I would catalogue my music writings here on my site.  So here they all are - the previously seen and the never before seen - in all their Cyber Glory.   Enjoy!
